About the Film

Carving the Future (25mins), is a powerful film and an educational resource to inspire young New Zealanders to take action in their schools and communities. The film explores the future challenges posed by climate change and environmental degradation through the lives of four inspirational young characters leading change - each engaged in positive action to build resilience in their respective communities across New Zealand.

Carving the Future was produced in 2009/2010 by Guy Ryan & Nick Holmes as the final year project for their Masters in Science Communication at The University of Otago.
